Parabola is a Des Moines four-piece rock band that blends the raw energy of grunge with the timeless edge of classic rock. Drawing inspiration from the 70s, 90s, and early 2000s, our sound combines gritty guitar riffs, powerful rhythms, and introspective lyrics. Parabola channels the rebellious spirit and seeks to inspire listeners to think deeper and Imagine a Better World

Our band has been a long time coming, with some of our music being made over a decade ago! In 2023 we decided to form and produce these creations. Giving us the chance to share them with the public and to further create something New!

What started in a basement evolved into obsession, with enough material for several albums we're constantly working on creating, and making each show better than the last! We've played with some great bands including Sparta, Smells Like Nirvana, and many Upcoming acts! Played historic music halls such as Lefty's, Gabe's Iowa City, XBK Live, and plan on playing more regionally so stay tuned!
